Desulfurisation Process in a Refinery

The de-sulfurizer, which usually operates with a twin vessel, is responsible for the removal of sulphur from the feed stock by absorbing the sulphur on the internally loaded catalyst.

When the catalyst become saturated with the sulphur, regeneration takes place and the spent catalyst becomes refurbished.

Following drawing shows a typical desulfurization process arrangement.
